A Shared Calling. A Life in Missions.
We’re Ed and Kim Nye. For more than two decades, we have served with Assemblies of God World Missions, sharing a desire to see the gospel proclaimed and churches established among people who have little opportunity to hear about Jesus.
That calling has taken us across cultures, into missionary leadership, and alongside people serving in challenging places. It continues to guide our life and ministry today.

The Calling We Share
Jesus’ promise in Matthew 24:14—that the gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world as a testimony to all nations—has helped shape our life in missions.
We believe the good news of Jesus is for everyone. That conviction has guided where we have served, the teams we have helped lead, and the work we do today.
For us, missions is about making Christ known and helping His Church take root among all peoples.
Our Journey in Missions
We lived and served in Tajikistan and Turkey. Our ministry also included serving as area directors in AGWM’s Central Eurasia area, supporting missionary teams across a region that includes parts of Central Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, and the Caucasus.
Along the way, we helped establish Live Dead church-planting efforts and worked alongside missionaries serving among people with little access to the gospel.
Those years gave us a firsthand understanding of the challenges of cross-cultural ministry—and the importance of relationships, preparation, and people who will stand alongside you.
Behind every discussion about missions and risk are people: missionaries and their families, local believers, and the communities they serve. That personal connection remains central to our ministry.
Serving Those Who Go
Today, our ministry builds on those years of shared missionary experience to support missionaries and leaders around the world.
Ed serves as AGWM’s Global Security Coordinator. He trains missionaries, develops practical resources, and helps missionaries and leaders navigate difficult decisions about risk and ministry. When crises arise, he leads a trained team that supports missionaries and their families through the response.
Kim joins Ed on selected ministry trips, assisting with training and connecting with missionaries. We treasure the opportunities to pray with, encourage, and stand alongside those serving in challenging places.
At its heart, this work is about people and the gospel they carry. We want missionaries to be thoughtfully prepared, wisely supported, and encouraged as they follow God’s call.
What Guides Us
We often return to the example of Nehemiah, who prayed and posted a guard. Trusting God and preparing wisely are not competing approaches. Both belong in a life of faith.
We do not believe that danger is a measure of faithfulness or that careful preparation can guarantee safety. Our desire is to help missionaries follow God’s call with courage, sound judgment, and love for the people affected by their decisions.
Ed also served as lead writer of AGWM’s official A Theology of Risk paper, which offers a biblical framework for missionaries and helps families, sending churches, and friends understand the risks involved in their calling.

Let’s Get to Know Each Other
Our ministry is sustained by churches and individuals who pray, give, encourage, and walk alongside us. We are deeply grateful for those relationships.
We would love to hear about your church, share more about our ministry, and explore how we might serve together. Whether you are considering a missions partnership, interested in a church visit, or simply reaching out to introduce yourself, we would be glad to connect.
